Did you watch the Chinese Olymic's opening ceremomy? The nine year old girl singing wasn't even really singing, she was lip-synching 'Ode to the Motherland' over another girls singing!!
The reason of this was simply because the real singer was not pretty enough so they got a pretty girl to lip-synch.
